South African Rapper AKA Shot Dead in Drive-By Shooting in Durban Rapper AKA, who was born Kiernan Forbes, was reportedly shot and killed Friday in Durban, South Africa. He was 35. News24  confirmed with local police that a “well-known rapper,” believed to be Forbes, was fatally shot outside a popular nightspot on Durban’s Florida Road. “I can confirm that two men were killed and one of them is a well-known rapper. Police will not be releasing any names of the victims yet until a full investigation is completed,” law enforcement spokesperson Robert Netshiunda told the outlet.   At least 24 dead in Uganda floods, officials say    Floods in parts of eastern Uganda resulting from torrential rains have killed at least 24 people, the government and Uganda Red Cross said. The flooding in parts of Bugisu, Mbale and Kapchorwa initially killed 10 people on Sunday, the state ministry in charge of relief, disaster preparedness and refugees in the Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement late on Sunday. But the death toll rose further on Monday. Uganda Red Cross spokesperson Irene Nakasita told reporters that so far rescuers had retrieved 21 bodies from Mbale and another three from Kapchorwa.
