  Man arrested for attempting to sacrifice his daughter for money   A returnee, Evans Oppong has been arrested for allegedly attempting to sacrifice his daughter for money. The suspect, who claims to have returned from a sojourn abroad, is said to have visited the home of a herbalist, Nana Adu-Boafo and requested to be made rich. Nana Adu-Boafo Jnr, appalled by the situation, recorded their interaction on tape and reported to the Police right after that. Narrating the incident on Facebook, the herbalist said the suspect picked up his daughter from school under the pretense of buying her a new dress. He noted that Mr. Oppong’s intention was, however far from getting his daughter the promised attire. “This man is a bad man with many evil intentions. He doesn’t even feel anything for his own girl.   Six immigrants arrested in credit-card skimming scheme Six people are accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars in a credit-card scam that recruited fast-food workers to skim card numbers with an electronic reading device. Central Ohio law officers and the Secret Service hope they put an end to the scheme by arresting the six yesterday and raiding two Columbus houses — at 1870 Hampstead Dr. and 1544 Kemper Rd., both on the North Side. Seth Nyamekye, 30; Prince Dahome, 20; Kwabena M. Bonsu, 25; and Jaimee M. Mukama, 26, were arrested at the Hampstead Drive address. Jacques GK Daboni, 22, and Ayeshia A. Johnson, 19, were arrested in the Kemper Road house. The six people are charged with felony theft or conspiracy to commit theft, said Lt. Paul Scowden of the Westerville police.   Romance scam: Ohio man got $1.3M from catfishing on dating websites COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A federal jury has found a Canal Winchester man guilty for his involvement in romance scams where he made off with over $1 million from victims on dating websites. Seth Nyamekye, 39, was convicted of 35 counts of money laundering crimes for managing a bank account for a romance scammer ring. Nyamekye worked with others in the group from at least June 2016 to February 2018 and received at least eight victims’ money directly to his bank account, according to Southern District of Ohio U.S. Attorney Kenneth Parker. The romance scam ring had several fake accounts on dating websites and would connect with men and women around the U.S., getting them romantically attached before convincing them to send money, for investment or help, to different bank accounts of the fraudster’s choice.
